How many toothpicks does it take to break the world record for a toothpick structure?

Spend your February Break Week (14th-22nd) watching creator Stan Munro build his amazing exhibit titled: TEMPLES AND TOWERS.  The exhibit will be a collection of more than 20 famous religious buildings and tall towers from around the world standing side by side on a 20-foot diameter circle platform.

The exhibit will honor architectural achievement, religious diversity and historical accuracy,” says Munro.

Made with only with toothpicks, and Elmer’s Glue, Toothpick City II will be the largest toothpick structure in the world with almost 4 million toothpicks used when completed.

The centerpiece of the exhibit, the Burj Dubai tower, will stand almost 19 feet tall. All major religions will be represented in the exhibit re-creations of famous cathedrals, temples and mosques.

Buildings will include:

  • The Grand Mosque in Mecca,
  • The Vatican,
  • The Blue Mosque in Istanbul
  • Notre Dame in Paris.
